Volunteer Trapping, Transporting Feral Cats or Fostering Kittens

LOVE CATS?

COMMUNITY CATS NEEDS YOUR HELP - We URGENTLY need:

  • Fosters!  The number of cats and kittens that we can accept into foster care is limited by the number of foster homes that are available. Each year, we place nearly 200 cats and kittens into loving forever homes. The math is simple...the more fosters we have, the more we can save from a life on the streets.  Fosters are needed for bottle babies, mama cats with kittens or weaned kittens. They may stay with you from a few days to a few months, until they are healthy, socialized and ready to be placed for adoption. We provide training, medical care and supplies and you provide the time, love and care. If you have space in your heart and a safe, quiet space in your home where they can grow and flourish...consider becoming a foster! Be a life-saver! (Download, Complete & Return the Foster Application below)
  • Trappers - People who respond to requests for assistance, neighbor complaints and “counseling” caregivers on our Caregiver Commandments, any local ordinances, etc. Trappers work with Caregivers who are feeding different colonies in Lake & Ashtabula Counties and assist in trapping cats and kittens who are on the properties and otherwise facilitate the TNR process. Many times these people do their our transportation to and from PetFix or Lake Human Society (LHS).
  • Transporting - People who help out transporting the cats and kittens to appointments, PetFix, Lake Humane Society (LHS) and other places in order to help out the fosters.

Community Cat Companions, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of feral (community) cats.

We have volunteers in just about every community in Lake County and Ashtabula. We are a resource for individuals who need assistance with trapping, neutering and placing adoptable cats and kittens in permanent homes. We provide information on the care of community cat colonies. Finally, we are here to offer support to the humans who share our communities with the cats. If you would like to share your love of cats and our mission of promoting the value and well-being of community cats in your neighborhood, we would welcome you as a volunteer. Have a spare room and time to devote? Our biggest need is consistent and dependable foster parents who want to make a difference in a kitten or cats life.
