About Nine Lives Lifeline

Nine Lives Lifeline is a program to assist with the care of our long-time resident cats. These cats came into our care over time for a variety of reasons. Some have medical issues that require careful monitoring. Others are very shy or fearful. Most of them wouldn’t thrive in a shelter setting and aren’t candidates for adoption events. These cats do well where they are. They remain in long-term foster care where their daily care can be addressed and medical needs closely monitored. They feel safe in their foster homes and are bonded with their kitty friends. Some of them act as ambassadors for the foster kittens that come through the program. They deserve a life where they feel loved and accepted. The Nine Lives Lifeline Fund was created to ensure that these cats are well-fed and that all of their medical needs are provided for. We provide numerous opportunities for enrichment. It’s important to us that they have the very best lives. Check out the flyer.

Abby’s Story

Abby came to us as a young kitten in 2021. She was adopted shortly after. Two years later she was returned to our care. Abby was having some serious health issues and her adopters could no longer afford the vet visits with no answers as to the cause of her problems. It was our decision to have exploratory surgery done to rule out some possibilities and to get some answers. Abby was a young cat and we believed that she deserved a chance to have a normal life. That surgery was nearly $3,000 but we did get some answers. Abby’s entire digestive tract was inflamed. Biopsies taken during the surgery indicated that there was no cancer evident. Great news! Food allergies were determined to be the likely cause of her discomfort. Today, Abby is stable and a very happy girl. This is due to a combination of special diet food, a variety of medications and supplements, careful monitoring by her foster mom, and people like you. Nine Lives Lifeline is essential for her continued health and well-being!
